In today’s society we are plagued more than ever by the constant bombardment of “how to stay young or how to look beautiful”.
At one time it was only the rich and famous that could afford plastic surgeries and nip & tucks. Now you will find the average 13-20 year old in the Botox and Day surgery clinics getting a whole list of treatments done-in and out in under a couple hours. Everything from lip injections to Botox fillers to breast implants.
Don’t get me wrong, no judgment here, I would be lying if I told you I have never thought of Botox or a nose job(we will just leave that there).
But to be real, as you get older you realize that our looks are not the priority anymore. Most women or men become more comfortable in their own skin as they age. We just want to be healthy and avoid diseases. We want to see our children graduate and become successful. We want to go on vacations. We start thinking about retirement.
The Healthier Alternatives
Whether your 16 or 61 years of age, I have good news! There are many alternatives to invasive surgeries and Botox treatments, it’s called good nutrition, exercise, regular meditation and proper sleep.
Your probably saying to yourself, wow, that’s a lot things to achieve a youthful glow. Well, let me encourage you that once you start making better choices and start balancing every one of these areas, it will become routine and you won’t even think twice about it. In fact, you will ask yourself why you didn’t start sooner.
Detoxing is a great way to start making those healthy choices and habits. It’s about creating a healthy lifestyle, not a diet or fad.
Imagine buying a car and not doing your regular maintence on it for years. First off, it wouldn’t last you years. It would conk out on you probably before a few months.
Its the same with our health.
We have neglected to maintain our bodies the right way and now we feel like our bodies are conking out on us, fatigue, depression, lethargy, irritability, sickness, diabetes and other ailments are just a few of the effects we are facing today.

I am on Day two of a liver detox right now and if you have never done one before let me tell you, it can go in two different directions depending on the individual. You will either feel like your getting the flu with similar side effects(crankiness, brain fog, fatigue, body aches etc) OR you might feel on top of the world-I’m feeling like crap.

So, if you want to look younger, have more energy and feel great, starting a healthy lifestyle is the way to go. It is safe, cheaper, and a healthy lifestyle also makeovers your internal body(the most important), not just the outside.
